Think Outside the Bomb Conference in Washington, DC:
April 12, 2008
Frequently Asked Questions
1. When will I hear if my registration has been accepted?
Because we are receiving a very large number of registration applications, it may take up to two weeks for us to notify you of receiving your application. If two weeks pass and you do not hear from us, please contact nroth{at}napf.org. Only those with confirmed registrations will be admitted into the conference.
2. How much does it cost to attend?
Attendence at Think Outside the Bomb is free -- however, if you will be eating lunch at the conference, we ask that you contribute $5 to help pay for food.
3. Is this a “youth” conference? What if I am not a “youth”?
Though past Think Outside the Bomb conferences have been labeled “youth” conference (a vague term, we realize), this conference is explicitly not a youth conference – it is a “grassroots” conference. However, the conference is a space where younger voices will be privileged and encouraged. Most participants will range in age from 15-29.
4. What should I wear?
Dress comfortably! There is no dress code.
5. Once my application to the conference is accepted, what can I be doing to prepare myself between now and the event itself?
Please see the "Background Reading" section of this web site, which includes selected articles to help familiarize participants with the primary issues and ideas the conference will be based on.
6. Where at American University will the conference take place?
Coming soon...
